A tiny frog spotted on a walk tucked beneath a leaf. Bats beginning their evening loops against a fading sky in the backyard. The flash of a butterfly disappearing into the trees before you have time to notice its color.
There are certain moments in nature that ask almost nothing of us except to notice. Most of us walk right past these moments and hurry on with life. For a long time, these were also ignored moments in my days. And then, somewhere along the way (thanks to my children), I began paying closer attention. I began to realize how much I'd been missing. And I'm so grateful that I did.
You also appreciate these tiny moments. That's probably why you're here.

A little about me
I’m the creator of products and founder behind Lark Meadow Co. Much of my inspiration comes from simply being outside and noticing. I created Lark Meadow Co. for people who feel most like themselves when they're a little closer to the woodland. I especially love to focus on the overlooked creatures that don't always make it onto greeting cards. Moths and beetles. Toads tucked beneath garden pots. Mushrooms growing from fallen logs. Feathers found along a trail. Tangled roots, weathered bark, seed pods, bones, shells, unique plants, herbs and wildflowers. Usually with a vintage and artistic twist. Those type of designs eventually find their way onto things meant to become part of everyday life — journals, clothing, blankets, bags, stickers, and more...made to feel a little like bringing a piece of the forest home with you.
What you'll find here
Field Notes from the Meadow is where I want to share more of the story behind all of it. Some of what shows up in this space will be the stories behind the designs — where a particular frog design came from, badger burrows and where to spot them, what a "specimen plate" actually is. Some of it will be field notes, of a sort: the small creatures and quiet corners that don't get enough attention anywhere else, we will bring them to life.
There may be seasonal musings. There may be the occasional glimpse behind the curtain — what "made slow, made small" actually looks like in practice, on a Tuesday, when I don't have time to get outside and am stuck inside on my computer. And there will always be room to learn more about the overlooked ones: the bats, the creepy beetles, the infamous trash pandas. They deserve a place here too. We're happy to provide it.
And there will definitely be announcements of new products and collections, new ideas for products, free digital product downloads, recipes, DIY ideas, nature crafts, and creative tips to enjoy nature.
No rush.
Nothing here is going anywhere quickly, and neither are we. Think of this space as part field journal, part studio notebook and part gathering place for people who are endlessly curious about the natural world. There is an entire wild world carrying on around us every day. Sometimes we just need a reason to notice it again.
